      • Eye of the Collector announces exhibitors for 2024
        edition at new location

        broken image
Eye of the Collector, the unique fair that offers a curated presentation of art and collectible design, announces the highlight exhibitors and artworks for its 2024 edition. Taking place in a new venue at the beautiful Grade II listed Garrison Chapel at the Chelsea Barracks between 26-29 June 2024, the fair offers a unique environment in which to appreciate and acquire works by both emerging and established 20th and 21st century artists and designers.

This edition will have a stronger focus on international art and artists and will see the fair collaborate with new galleries for the first time, as well as continuing long-standing partnerships with previous exhibitors.

Nazy Vassegh, Founder and CEO of Eye of the Collector, said: “From the outset we wanted Eye of the Collector to be a successful, creative art platform for galleries, artists, and designers, and one that collectors look forward to and have a strong affinity with. To that end we are bringing a fresh, new perspective to our fourth edition and are delighted to curate a selection of works at our new home, the Garrison Chapel in the Chelsea Barracks. As well as having a broad spectrum of C20th and Contemporary British art, this year’s edition also places a greater emphasis on international art, with participating galleries from Europe, the Middle East and Asia for the first time.”

Highlights for Eye of the Collector 2024 will include:

        ● Around 30 new commissions by contemporary artists and makers on show for the first time at the fair, including new works by Henrik Godsk (Vigo Gallery), Cathy de Monchaux and Gill Rocca (GBS Fine Art), Three One Four Studio, Ramiro Fernandez Saus (Long and Ryle), Alexander Massouras (Julian Page) and Antony Micallef (Dellasposa Gallery)

        ● Works by leading blue-chip 20th and 21st century figures including Frank Auerbach (Tanya Baxter Contemporary), Bram Bogart (Whitford Fine Art), Howard Hodgkin (Dellasposa Gallery), Craigie Aitchison (Tanya Baxter Contemporary), Ibrahim El Dessouki (Hafez Gallery) and Bridget Riley (Julian Page and Tanya Baxter Contemporary), as well as rediscovered artists like Alice Frey (Vendelmans) and Mildred Bendall (Whitford Fine Art) and emerging artists Thomas Cameron and Charlotte Beaudry (Canopy Collections)

        ● Presented sculpture will include works by William Turnbull (Offer Waterman), Carol Prusa (Bluerider ART), Damien Hirst (Lalique) and a rare early C20th Pende Deformity Mask (Duende Art Projects)

        ● Beautiful collectible design objects created specially for the fair include carved vessels by Ash & Plumb, a Twist/D piano, sonically modelled on the NYC Steinway Model D by Based Upon in brass, other metals and Tramazite and a Kimono jewellery cabinet by Zelouf and Bell.
